Chinese-Filipino businessmen offered 20 million peso (459,770 U.S. dollars) donation for the victims of the recent destructive typhoons that hit northern Philippines, official said on Friday. Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda told a press briefing that the donation was presented by the Federation of Filipino- Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc. (FFCCCII) to Philippine President Benigno S. Aquino III at the Presidential official on Friday morning. Typhoons Nesat and Nalgae struck Luzon, leaving 76 people dead and 29 missing, causing damage of at least twelve billion pesos in infrastructure and agriculture.
