A boat caught fire in a maintenance workshop at Marina Al Bateen on Tuesday, in Abu Dhabi. The accident occurred at around 10pm, said civil defence authorities.
The teams from the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Directorate rushed to the scene after being informed about the blaze.
The firefighters managed to control the fire quickly, said civil defence officials.
No injuries or casualties have been reported.
Colonel Mohammed Abdul Jalil Al Ansari, director general of the Abu Dhabi Civil Defence Department, said: "The civil defence teams controlled the fire and prevented it from spreading to the other maintenance area that was packed with tools, boats under repair and other flammable materials."
There was no mention about the cause of the fire.
Al Ansari has urged owners of factories, repair workshops and warehouses to adhere to the fire safety, prevention and storage rules.
He said all premises should be equipped with safety and prevention facilities to deal with any fire or accidents.
