The Belarusian Foreign Ministry has denied that any of the country\'s military specialists were involved in the unrest in Libya, local media reported. Spokesman Andrei Savinykh said the ministry was absolutely confident that there were no Belarusian citizens with weapons in their hands in Libya. The Libyan opposition\'s National Transitional Council claimed earlier that Belarusian snipers fought for ex-Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi. Abdel Majid Ibrahim, a military chief of the NTC, said information from intelligence sources said that a group of snipers from Ukraine, Belarus and other European states had been invited to Libya by Gaddafi.
