Police have defused two bombs in the past 24 hours in Russia\'s North Caucasus republic of Ingushetia, officials say. The initial explosive device, equal to 200 grams of TNT, was discovered near a grocery store in the republic\'s largest city, Nazran, Ingush security officials said on Thursday. The second, much more powerful device had an equivalent force of up to 10 kilograms of TNT, and was discovered in a house reportedly belonging to a man who took part in a militant attack on Nazran in 2004, in which 77 people died. There is no information on whether the man was detained. Russia has been struggling to combat an Islamist insurgency in the North Caucasus. Ingushetia, along with Dagestan, has seen the brunt of the fighting in recent years.
