Jose Mourinho Madrid - Arabstoday Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho expressed his sympathy for Real Betis after watching his league leaders come from behind to edge their hosts 3-2 last night. Cristiano Ronaldo struck twice in the second half as Madrid provisionally moved 13 points clear at La Liga\'s summit with Barcelona playing Racing Santander later today. Betis went ahead early on through Jorge Molina but Madrid battled back to lead with goals from Gonzalo Higuain and Ronaldo. The home side refused to give in and equalised through Jefferson Montero\'s 55th-minute strike, but Ronaldo had the final word 17 minutes from time as Mourinho\'s men recorded their 11th successive league win. Mourinho told realmadrid.com: \"It is a pleasure to play here. I\'m more than happy with the three points, but Betis deserved more. We gave our all. There was no control and we never knew who would win. \"A draw would have been a fairer result. Betis are a great example of a side that doesn\'t play to win titles, but rather to put on a show and thrill their fans with games like these. It is a fantastic coaching philosophy and players respond well to it.\" Mourinho was asked about his squad and insists strike pair Higuain and Karim Benzema are equally valued. The Portuguese coach, who last year demanded the club\'s hierarchy sign him a higher calibre striker, said: \"Higuain and Benzema are two of the best strikers in the world and I hope they are both satisfied at the end of the season and willing to continue because I don\'t want anyone else besides them two.\"
