Moroccan Captain of national team Mahdy Bin Attiya stressed that they turned the page of their exit from Africa Cup of Nations held recently in Gabon, stressing that they focus currently on the coming matches of the qulifying round of World Cup scheduled to be held in Russia 2018.
He added that the national team gives the priority to the qualification for the World Cup, as the team has been deprived from existing in the international event for years. He expressed frustration for their loss against Egypt during the Africa Cup's quarter final.
He praised the performance of Egypt's national team, describing it as the fierce competitor that has experienced goalkeeper like Essam Al Hadary. He blamed the playground for the failure of the Moroccan players to appear their individual and collective performance.
He added that the members of the team are satisfied of their performance during the tournament, stressing that simple factors were the major reasons behind their failure to resume advance in the continental football event.
He added that it is frustrating to be better, while to fail to score. However, he stressed, they proved that they are strong team. He stressed that they realized a number of lessons from their participation in this tournament.
