the Tunisian international player Issam Taj Tunis - Azhar Jarboui A French court has ordered the release of four handball players playing for the French club Montpellier, including the Tunisian international Issam Taj, after they were arrested following a match fixings scandal they were allegedly involved in.Issam Taj along with his arrested team mates were all dismissed from Montpellier\'s team, as the club decided to cancel their contracts over the case. But the club\'s chairman defended the players and said they were probably \"victims\" in this case.Taj received support from the chairman of the Tunisian Handball federation, Karim Hilali, who hailed the player\'s contribution for the national team, and stressed that the federation will offer him any kind of support he may need.Taj\'s former club, L’Esperance, also sided with the player, sending an offer to him to represent the club in the African handball championship, set to be organised in Morocco\'s Tangier from November 14 to 25.Taj was considered more than once to be the best striker in the world by the Handball International Federation.Sources close to the player said to Arabstoday that he has already received several contract offers from major international clubs, most notably from Spain\'s Barcelona and Qatar\'s al-Sadd. The source guessed that Taj would be more likely to join the latter as he wants to play alongside his compatriot Mesbah Sanei.
