Egyptian football player Mustafa Fathy revealed that the offer he received to join Italian football club of Torino has been reduced, as it was not a buying offer but a loan. He added that deal was to transfer to Torino as a loan then to transfer to another team as a loan also, but the latest team abandoned the deal.
He added, in an interview with "Arabs Today", that the retreat of the other club led to the decline in the financial value of the deal, the matter that led to the failure of negotiations.
The players, who plays for Egypt's Zamalek, praised the position adopted by his club's board, saying that they supported him during his injury. He added, "The club was keen to ensure my safety so they insisted to conduct the medical inspections in Germany."
He revealed that he offered to pay a part of of the deal financial value in the beginning, while it was impossible to do after they reduced it from 700 thousand euro to only 400.
He added that it is normal for former Ahly's player not to participate in the first team with Stoke City, expressing his confidence that the player will perform well and prove his efficiency before his coach and the fans.
The Egyptian player stressed his aspiration to join one of the European major clubs, especially Real Madrid.
Regarding his team's position in the Egyptian Premier League, Fathy said that Zamalek is still able to compete for the first place, stressing that the season is still too long.
It is important to mention that Zamalek occupies the second place in the Egyptian league behind Ahly.
