The 34-year old told Arabstoday, "I have renewed my contract with Al-Ahly without any financial demands. I have also decided to take a 50 percent voluntary pay cut. This is a personal decision because I understand the financial situation at the club." UAE's Baniyas offered Aboutreika a six-month contract after making an offer in the region of $2million. However, the Cairo-based African Footballer of the Year 2012 has decided made the decision to remain in the Egyptian capital.
