The Palestinian Foreign Ministry urged the international community to deal seriously with recent statements by Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Yaalon and other members of the Benjamin Netanyahu government holding the Palestinian side responsible for the failure of peace talks.
In response to Yaalon's statements during a seminar at the Washington-based Wilson Center on Monday, the Palestinian Foreign Ministry issued a statement calling on the international community to announce who is hampering the peace process.
The statement said Israel's broken record can not any more convince the world as it totally contradicts the reality of the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian lands.
Yaalon said during the seminar that the Palestinian-Israeli conflict will not be settled.
He held the Palestinian side responsible for the deterioration of conditions, referring to the rejection of Israeli proposals during previous talks.
In order to ensure that negotiations would not be resumed, Yaalon set a number of pre-conditions, topped by recognizing the Jewish state.
