Assistant Secretary general of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Abdallah Alam said the organization will open an office in the Palestinian city of Ramallah to support the Palestinian cause.
In statements on the sidelines of meetings of the fifth session of a committee concerned with cooperation between OIC and the Arab League, he said an OIC delegation will travel to the Palestinian city to inspect the OIC headquarters.
He added that the aim of opening the office is to follow up the developments in the Palestinian territories and monitoring the Israeli violations against the Palestinians.
The OIC foreign ministers has announced during a meeting in Kuwait in May opening a representation office in the Palestinian city.
