Italian Foreign Minister Paolo Gentiloni on Saturday expressed optimism about successful result of Iran's nuclear negotiations with the world major powers.
"Positive outcome of the nuclear negotiations will lead to strengthening the Islamic Republic's position, preserving the European countries' interests and achieving an important goal for the United States," said the Italian top diplomat was quoted by IRNA news agency as saying in a joint press conference with his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Javad Zarif.
Gentiloni said that the talks which are meant to settle the Iranian nuclear crisis should be supported.
"Italy favors a peaceful solution in this field to preserve the interests of the international society," said Gentiloni.
