A European Parliament delegation is in Iran on a two-day official visit to hold talks with the country's authorities, the Press TV reported.
The eight-strong delegation, headed by Chairman of the European Parliament's Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok, arrived in Tehran early Saturday, said Hossein Sheikholeslam, an adviser to Iran’s Parliament (Majlis) Speaker Ali Larijani.
He added that the visit comes at the invitation of Chairman of the Majlis' National Security and Foreign Policy Committee Alaeddin Boroujerdi.
Talks with senior Iranian lawmakers, including Larijani and Boroujerdi, and Foreign Ministry officials are on the agenda of the delegation, said Sheikholeslam.
