The US-led coalition continued to strike the Islamic State in Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) targets in Syria and Iraq, with a total of 10 airstrikes between 8 a.m. on March 20, and 8 a.m. on March 21, the Combined Joint Task Force-Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) said in a statement released Saturday.
In Syria, three airstrikes were carried out near Ain al Arab (Kobane) and destroyed nine ISIL fighting positions, one ISIL vehicle, one large ISIL machine gun, and one ISIL machine gun.
In Iraq, seven airstrikes were carried out near six areas: Mosul, where two airstrikes destroyed one ISIL storage facility and neutralized one ISIL rocket site, one ISIL RPG position, one ISIL large machine gun, and one ISIL mortar, Kirkuk, where one airstrike destroyed one ISIL fighting position, one ISIL tank and one ISIL excavator, Hit in Al Anbar Province, where one airstrike struck an ISIL tactical unit, Ramadi, where on airstrike destroyed an ISIL building, Taji, where one airstrike destroyed two ISIL armored vehicles, and finally Bayji, where one airstrike destroyed two tactical units, indicated CJTF-OIR.
