Minister of Investment Ashraf Salman said the participation of private sector in investment projects carried out in fiscal year 2014/2015 increased to 62.2 percent against 62.2 percent in fiscal year 2013/2014.
In a press conference to review his ministry's performance, the minister pointed out the number of projects in the free zones hit 1,120 including 898 projects in private free zones in addition to 222 projects in public free zones with a total capital estimated at 11 billion dollars and investment costs amounting to more than 24 billion.
The minister reviewed the performance of the companies' boards and their future plans in honing skills and training cadres at all levels.
