The new Suez Canal - due to open on August 6 - will facilitate the flow of international trade and promote Egypt's role as an international logistic transportation center, said Slovenian Ambassador in Cairo Tatjana Miskova.
In statements to MENA on Tuesday, Miskova said the project is an economic turning point after four years of political and economic instability.
The new Suez Canal is the first mammoth project launched by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi since taking the helm, she added.
She noted that the swift implementation of the project proves that the Egyptians are capable of accomplishing anything if they join hands.
