President Abdel Fattah al Sisi said limited-income and marginalized brackets will be considered in the national projects currently under establishment.
The state budget will not burden the costs of the new administrative capital project, which will be established by investments pumped from abroad, the president said during a meeting Monday with representatives of a number of charity and voluntary associations, Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef said.
Part of the new capital project will be dedicated to building housing units for limited-income segments, Sisi said.
Speaking about the one-million feddan reclamation project, the president said it aims to overcome the repercussions of the population overcrowding at the narrow Nile Valley area and provide quality services to the citizens.
Among the associations attending the meeting are 57357 Hospital, Coptic Evangelical Organization for Social Services (CEOSS), Orman Charity Association, Egyptian Food Bank, Magdi Yacoub Foundation, Vodafone Egypt Foundation for Community Development, Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, Ma'an for Developing Slums, Misr El Kheir Foundation and Association of Liver Patient Care.
