It took over a year to develop a price control system in Egypt, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Sunday.
Addressing the 10th Youth Week at the Suez Canal HQs, Sisi said price hikes have an effect on a wide range of Egyptians.
He made reference to initiatives to boycott some commodities to put an end to price hikes.
Sisi stressed the importance of monitoring the price control system in light of the difficult conditions facing the Egyptian community.
