Head of Egyptian Financial Supervisory Authority (EFSA) Sherif Samy said on Tuesday that no announcements were made on the investment draft law.
"There are no plans to enact a new investment law, but only amendments on the current code would be made," Samy told reporters on the sidelines of a conference on governance in businesses and financial institutions.
Also, he made it clear that the amendments shall not be made as a target, but a means to reform the legislative structure of investments.
Asked about the EFSA's plan for the Egypt Economic Development Conference (EEDC) scheduled to kick off on Friday, Samy said the authority will provide a review on financial services that may be provided in Egyptian market.
