Egypt will host the conference of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA), East African Community (EAC) and the Southern African Development Community (SADC) on June 10 under the auspices of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, COMESA chief said on Saturday.
Sindiso Ngwenya made the remarks to reporters following his meeting with Egypt's Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
The populations of the three blocs reach 656 million people with a gross domestic product (GDP) of 1.3 trillion dollars, Ngwenya said.
He noted that the establishment of a free trade zone among the three blocs depends on a free market and trade exchange among these states and on the establishment of infrastructure projects.
