Egypt is keen on developing trade and economic ties with the whole world, Minister of Trade and Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel Nour said on Tuesday.
The Egyptian government pays due regard to the domestic industry, Abdel Nour said during a session of talks with Ukrainian Ambassador to Egypt Hennadiy Latte.
Egyptian-Ukrainian trade relations have witnessed a remarkable development in the past year, he said.
The talks tackled ways of boosting economic ties with Ukraine and overcoming obstacles facing the export of Egyptian agricultural commodities into the Ukrainian market, Abdel Nour added.
Such problems will be discussed in the meetings of the Egyptian-Ukrainian economic and scientific committee to be held in the Ukrainian capital city of Kiev in November, he stressed.
Latte, for his part, reiterated his country's keenness to strengthen relations with Egypt in the economic field.
