There is someone special in my life

Television personality and conservationist Bindi Irwin is about to turn 17, and recently revealed that she is dating someone new.

"There is someone special in my life right now, and I'm really happy with that," Bindi told Entertainment Tonight this week. "Life is wonderful at the moment."

Irwin didn't divulge her new significant other's name, but the outlet suspects it could be wakeboarder Chandler Powell -- whom she's been spotted spending time with.

The teenage daughter of the late Steve Irwin did share some of her romantic preferences, however, saying that a good boyfriend "would have to be very kind and loyal."

"You've got to love the outdoors; you've got to be able to go camping and love wildlife and have that same passion for making the world a better place," she continued.

About her parents, including mother Terri Irwin, the Wildlife Warrior says they are "truly my heroes."

"And I have to say, so is my little brother Robert," she added. "He's 11 and he's the most amazing boy. He's so much like dad sometimes it's a bit scary. Dad is always and will always be my living, breathing superhero."
