The Water, Energy, Technology, and Environment Exhibition, WETEX 2017, was opened today by H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, UAE Minister of Finance and Chairman of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, DEWA.
Themed ‘At the Forefront of Sustainability,’ WETEX is organised by DEWA on 23rd – 25th October at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. It showcases the latest developments in conventional and renewable energy around the world, and feature business opportunities and potential partnerships to drive business.
Sheikh Hamdan was shown around a number of pavilions, including that of ENOC Group where he was briefed on the latest innovations made by the company in areas of resource utilisation, management and energy efficiency.
WETEX has established outreach in many countries around the world, and due to the growing international interest from energy, water, oil and gas and the environment sectors, the exhibition is attracting an increasing number of companies and international organisations engaged in these vital sectors more than previous editions, said Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, Managing Director and CEO of DEWA.
Saif Humaid Al Falasi, CEO of ENOC Group, said that WETEX provides an interactive platform helping participants keep abreast of the latest technologies in areas of water, energy saving and environmental protection.
"ENOC Group will provide a set of energy solutions during the event based on best international practices in areas of energy and resource management with the ultimate objective of providing a more sustainable world for generations to come," Al Falasi added.
