WASD 15th Conference on Tuesday

The WASD 15th International Annual Conference will open in Bahrain on Tuesday (May 16), under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa.

Ahlia University is organizing the event at the Sheraton Hotel Taj Ballroom, in cooperation with the World Association for Sustainable Development (WASD) in the United Kingdom.
Scheduled to conclude on Thursday (May 18), the three-day conference will be held under the theme “Digital revolution, smart cities and performance improvement towards a sustainable knowledge-based inclusive development

Experts, scientists, researchers, professors hailing from more than 20 countries worldwide will attend, along with 200 participants which include, researchers, university graduates and other key figures.

Ahlia University President, Board of Trustees’ Chairman Dr. Abdulla Yusuf Al-Hawaj paid tribute to HRH the Premier for patronizing the conference which, he said, reflects the Premier’s keenness on promoting higher education and scientific research.

He commended the policy of the Government, chaired by HRH the Premier, hailing its role in turning Bahrain as a pioneering regional centre for higher education and scientific research
