Upper Egypt trains redirected due to broken water pipe

Trains in Upper Egypt have been directed to return to their stations after a broken water pipe drowned part of the rails with water and prevented the movement of the trains. Hany Hegab, head of the railway authority, gave the order. Hegab said the authority is working to remove the water, which is up to 40cm deep (15.7 inches). Passengers affected by the incident can receive a refund for the amount of their tickets.
