A review of an updated version for the information security system in the Emirate of Dubai was the main topic of discussion of a workshop held by the Dubai Electronic Security Centre, DESC, and grouped representatives of a number of government departments.
The workshop centered on the potential main changes expected to be introduced to the system updated version which has been designed to protect all governmental and semi-governmental information, telecommunications network and government information systems in Dubai.
Amer Sharaf, Director of Compliance Support and Alliances of DESC, underlined the importance of conducting such reviews with different state bodies in order to mitigate security risks and ensure an integrated system conducive to preventing or minimising risks, noting that the DESC will organise a similar workshop in the near future pending the launch of the new system.
The new technology is aimed at adopting the best methods to help curb threats that may violate information security, as well as enhancing awareness about the importance of information security.
