The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation announced on Sunday it would offer domestic workers across the Tas’heel service centres located in Umm Al Qaiwain.
The announcement marks the beginning of the second phase of the initiative, which was started across the emirate of Dubai in late 2016.
Aisha Belharfia, Assistant Under-Secretary of Domestic Workers Affairs, said, "The Ministry is all set to receive and process all services related to domestic workers in the emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain through the ‘Moamalat’ service centre, which has aligned five specialised counters to deliver the assigned services.
"The centre, as of Sunday, 21st May, 2017, shall enjoy eligibility to receive all new applications related to domestic workers. These services are commonly handled electronically, and then, followed by a notification letter sent via SMS or email, whichever way the customers chooses to learn about the request status," she added.
Belharfia stressed that the centre is ready to process all forms for requests promptly to meet quality assurance guidelines, as imposed by the ministry.
