UAE supports Saudi initiative on Egypt

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) government said on Sunday that it fully supports the Saudi Arabia\' s initiative \"to fight terrorism in Egypt\" in order to restore security and stability in the biggest Arab country. The Saudi statement reflects \"consciousness and prudent approach to crush plots being hatched against Egypt,\" the UAE government said in a statement published by the state news agency (WAM) on Sunday. Saudi Arabia\'s King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz said on Friday that the kingdom is supporting the Egyptian government and its interim President Adly Mansour in their \"fight against terrorism,\" adding that Egypt was targeted by \"haters\". In the meantime, King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz pledged to send three field hospitals to Egypt to help authorities treat people wounded during violent clashes between Muslim brotherhood supporters and Egypt\'s army. Both the UAE and Saudi Arabia, two major oil suppliers, were opposing the government of the Muslim Brotherhood and the former president Mohammed Morsi. Abu Dhabi and Riyadh have blamed the Muslim Brotherhood for undermining security in the Arab peninsula through spreading secret cells. On July 2, the Emirati Supreme Court sentenced scores of Emirati citizens affiliating to Muslim Brotherhood for planing civil unrest in the Gulf state with the objective of ousting the government.
