Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai, and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, awarded several Armed Forces heroes with the "Bravery Medal," at the Al Maqam Palace in Al Ain.
The servicemen were recognised for their actions during Operation Restoring Hope in Yemen.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed saluted the heroes, the nation’s protectors, who created heroic and honourable legacies for themselves and their country, and reflect the noble values of dedication and bravery that are present in the UAE’s sons, while praying Allah Almighty to grant them and their comrades honour and victory and preserve their safety for their families and nation.
The UAE leaders, in the presence of Lt Gen Hamad Mohammed Thani Al Rumaithi, Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, presented the "Bravery Medal" to Maj Abdullah Salem Rashid Al Yamahi, Captain Ahmed Mohammed Saeed Al Baloushi, Candidate Hassan Rashid Saeed Hamdoun Al Naqbi, Warrant Officer 1 Ali Faraj Abdullah Jaber, Warrant Officer Ahmed Ismail Saeed Al Matroushi, Sgt Maj Khaled Obaid Mohammed Al Tunaiji and Sgt Obaid Khamis Khalfan Al Zahmi.Also at the Al Ain barza, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed held a meeting with Nasser Bourita, Morocco's minister of foreign affairs, and Mohamed Boussaid, Morocco's minister of economy & finance.
The Abu Dhabi Crown Prince received a note from Mohammed VI, King of Morocco, on UAE and Morocco's fraternal relations and ways to enhance them.
The Dubai ruler and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed also received a delegation from Strata Manufacturing at Qasr Al Maqam.
The UAE leaders were briefed about the latest activities of Strata, the Emirati company specialising in composite aero-structures manufacturing, WAM reported. The company was recently awarded the Nadcap accreditation after successfully completing an auditing process that evaluates the systematic compliance of equipment and personnel in line with international aerospace standards.
Last November, the company completed the delivery of its first set of A350-900 inboard flaps to Airbus.
