The United Arab Emirates, UAE, is participating in the 92nd meeting of the Permanent Committee for the Administrative and Financial Affairs of the Arab League's Council, which began in the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on Monday.
Ahmed Khalfan Mutawa, Director of the Financial Affairs Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, represented the UAE at the meeting.
Adnan Al Khudair, Assistant Arab League Secretary-General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, said the two-day meeting would see discussions on activities and issues related to administrative and financial affairs. This will include the draft budget for 2018 and payment to member states for their contribution to the pan-Arab body.
He stated that member states had paid 35 percent of the Secretariat General's US$65 million budget.
