Abu Dhabi - Qna

The UAE Federal Supreme Federal Court on Sunday decided to defer the case of five people, four Emiratis and the fifth does not bear credentials, accused of inciting for non compliance to the state laws, to Sunday. According to the prosecutors, the charge against the defendants could endanger the state security and risk public order. Adviser Ahmed Abdul Hamid, head of the Court opened the session this morning in the presence of the defence lawyers. But due to the absence of the accused, the court heard the report of Lieutenant Ali Ahmed Al Khayal, head of the penal and correctional section in Al Wathba. He submitted a written report, stating that the defendants refused to attend the court session, the Emirates WAM news agency reported. The following defendants signed their names in the report: Ahmed Mansour Ali Abdullah Al Shehhi, a UAE national, Nasser Ahmed Khalfan bin Al Ghaith Al Marri, a UAE national, Fahd Mohammed Salem Dalek Al Shehhi, a UAE national, Hassan Ali Hassan Al Khamis, a UAE national, and Ahmed Abdul Khaliq Ahmed Abdul Karim, does not carry identification papers. WAM said the prosecutors said the charges against the accused evolved on defying the state authority, insulting the President, Vice President and the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and also the call to boycott the Federal National Council elections.
