The UAE Embassy in Colombo oversaw the distribution of bags and school supplies to students across a number of schools in the northern Jaffna province, in coordination with Vijayakala Maheswaran, Sri Lanka's State Minister of Child Affairs.
This initiative is part of the philanthropic and humanitarian programmes carried out by the embassy to assist the underprivileged, and empower children by providing them with necessary school supplies to pursue their studies. This gesture is also in line with the 'Year of Giving', which seeks to build bridges of peace and love from the UAE to the countries of the world.
