The Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and Tadweer, the Centre for Waste Management, have organised a charity exhibition, entitled "Day of Giving", to support families looking for an avenue to sell products at Tadweer headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The exhibition included photographs from the National Archives of various humanitarian and charity projects initiated by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, across a number of countries. Productive families also participated in the exhibition where food, men's and women's apparel, perfumes, household accessories and cooking utensils, among other items, were for sale.
"The initiative which seeks to support productive families, is receiving increasing support from national institutions. Through this relationship, we are striving to establish a permanent humanitarian partnership to support and encourage productive families to participate in events and exhibitions held in the country," said a representative from the Foundation.
Saeed Mohammed Al Muhairbi, Acting Director-General at Tadweer, said, "Collaborating with the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation and the National Archives in this charitable initiative aims to serve the community and provide financial support to local communities while promoting a culture of community participation in the UAE."
