A number of Syrian families who were displaced by the criminal acts of the armed terrorist groups to Lebanon came back home on Thursday after they received guarantees on providing them with decent living and necessary requirements within implementation of the political program to solve the crisis in Syria. Minister of State for Red Crescent Affairs, Minister of Social Affairs and Governor of Damascus Countryside province received the displaced families at Jdeidet Yabous crossing point and accompanied them to the temporary residence centers in Qudsaya Suburb in Damascus countryside. The Syrian families expressed gratitude and appreciation for the facilitations offered by the Government to ensure their return securely to the homeland. Minister of Social Affairs, Kinda al-Shammat, told reporters that there are social care programs for the families which return within the temporary residence centers, adding that humanitarian aid will be offered to all families in cooperation with the Syrian Arab Red Crescent. For his part, Minister of State for red Crescent affairs, Joseph Sweid, stressed that the return of displaced families to their homeland is a translation of the political program to solve the crisis in Syria. Governor of Damascus Countryside province, Hussein Makhlouf, said that the door is open to everyone who wishes to return, adding that preparations are in progress to ensure their return and that communication with the displaced people is continuous. He noted that many families expressed their desire to return, and they are awaiting that moment when their suffering comes to an end.
