Minister of Labour and Social Development, Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan, met Bahrain Women Association (BWA)’s Chairperson Dina Al-Amir, and head of Social Committee, Nahid Al Kaabi.
BWA’s objectives and future plans to raise awareness of women’s rights and encourage them to participate in various fields were reviewed, as well as activating cooperation with government and private institutions.
The minister stressed the ministry’s support for all efforts aimed at empowering Bahraini women and integrating them into national development plans, noting the significance of building an interactive relationship among women societies to promote Bahraini women’s development objectives.
Al-Amir expressed appreciation of the ministry’s support for the BWA to play its social role successfully, stressing to achieve desired goals within the policies set out by HRH Princess Sabeeka bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, wife of HM the King, President of Supreme Council for Women.
