A Syria student shot at five of his colleagues at Damascus University, killing at least one and wounding four others, the official SANA news agency reported Tuesday. The student, Ammar Baloush, of the medical engineering faculty at Damascus University, fired at his classmates with a handgun during an exam, killing one of them instantly, the report said. One of the wounded is reportedly in a critical condition while the other three sustained minor injuries, it said. The assailant intentionally chose the five students and opened fire directly at them, the report said, adding that Syrian authorities are still chasing him.
