Speaker of the Lower House of Parliament Saad Hayel Srour on Wednesday reviewed with EU Ambassador to Jordan Joanna Wronecka the latest developments in the Middle East, mainly efforts to bring about peace and stability in the region.Srour briefed the ambassador on Jordan’s reform process which aim at enhancing democracy, achieving development and improving citizens standards of living.The ambassador hailed the role of Jordan under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah II to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East. She voiced the EU’s keenness to boost cooperation and partnership with the Kingdom and support Jordan’s reform march.Srour also met the Algerian Ambassador to Jordan Sidi Mohamed Gaouar, who conveyed a letter from Speaker of the Algerian National People’s Assembly Mohammad Al Arabi to Sour congratulating him over his elections as House speaker.The letter also highlighted the need to boost parliamentary ties between Jordan and Algeria.Sour hailed the strong ties between the two countries, mainly in the parliamentary field.
