The first summit of the 'Nation’s Ambassadors' initiative, which was organised by the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare, has recommended encouraging the participation of youth in all the foreign programmes to develop exchange relations between the UAE and other countries, and working on informing the sons and daughters of the nation about the Nation’s Ambassadors initiative through the media.
The Authority has adopted nine recommendations during the first summit of the Nation’s Ambassadors initiative, which was part of a series of programmes and strategic goals through which the Authority strives to support and train the youth in all fields to develop their skills.
The Summit called on the members to encourage the youth and increase the opportunities for them to join the UAE Diplomatic Academy and to hold a variety of courses to develop their skills in protocol, international laws, media and other aspects. For these to be executed in accordance with the plan, all the emirates must guarantee the participation of a large number of youths.
The Summit highlighted the importance of combining the goals of the Nation’s Ambassadors Initiative, to introduce the world’s youth to the UAE’s values of tolerance and their role in combatting extremism and terrorism and spreading peace, as a noble international humanitarian goal.
The Summit recommended prompting practical training programmes while increasing the participation of the UAE’s diplomats in programmes, summits and workshops, which will provide the nation’s youth with the opportunity to benefit from their various expertise while transferring their knowledge to them, as part of the goals of the Nation’s Ambassadors Initiative.
The Summit also recommended creating new pathways, under the initiative, to include the nation’s employees, especially its leaders and those participating in foreign delegations while highlighting the media’s support for their affairs and programmes, to ensure the success of initiative in training the UAE’s youth the art of communication with other youths from around the world.
These recommendations also include developing partnerships with all national institutions, such as the partnership with Etihad Airways, as well as opening and developing new opportunities for co-operation, strengthening the initiative’s goals, and promoting agreements between the General Authority for Youth and Sports Welfare and other countries.
