H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Fujairah, spoke of a bright future for the nation’s tourism sector during today’s opening of a new resort in emirate.
Also, Sheikh Hamad Al Sharqi stressed the importance of the tourism sector in the UAE. He noted that the strategic location of the emirate of Fujairah, in addition to its historic sites and moderate weather, provided the emirate with significant tourism potentials.
HH made his statement today during the opening of the Fujairah Fairmont resort in Dibba Fujairah, on the coast of Al Faqeet tourist area, and in the presence of his H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Adviser to the UAE President, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Sheikh Rashed bin Hamad Al Sharqi, Chairman of Fujairah Culture and Media Authority, and other local officials.
During his speech, the Ruler of Fujairah said the emirate seeks to create tourist attractions to bolster the UAE tourist sector, affirming that the UAE is currently among the most advanced countries in the fields of tourism and travel.
Furthermore, Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan noted that the UAE has created a strong tourism infrastructure and has taken advantage of its geographical location, which contributes in supporting the tourism sector as a major source of revenues for the UAE.
The new Fujairah Fairmont resort contains 180 hotel rooms and suites. Also, its interior design is complemented by artwork, including paintings, photography and sculptures.
