The United Arab Emirates’ Ambassador to Bahrain, Abdulridha Abdullah Al-Khori, praised the role of the Southern Governor HH Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa in promoting charitable work.
In a statement to Bahrain News Agency (BNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the award ceremony of Shaikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa Prize for Charity Work (Loyalty to givers), coinciding with the International Day of Older Persons, the UAE Ambassador emphasized the importance of such forums in exchanging expertise among the Gulf countries in the service of the elderly, noting the sacrifices they had made for the development of their countries.
He pointed out the key role played by the Gulf leaders in supporting charitable and humanitarian work at the local, regional and international level.
He stressed his country’s efforts, represented by government and civil organizations, to care for the elderly and the establishment of elderly care centers there, wishing the elderly good health and happiness.
