President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Friday Egypt’s three medalists at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Posting on his Facebook page, Sisi said he appreciated the Egyptian youths who won medals at the tournaments.
Sisi said he was happy to choose Sara Samir, Hedaya Malak and Mohamed Ehab to be near him during the launch of the "Youth Year" initiative in January 2016.
Hedaya Malak won a bronze medal in the women’s 57kg Taekwondo tournament.
It is the first time an Egyptian woman has won a medal in Taekwondo at the Olympic games.
