The six-month shrimping season will open on August and run until the 1st of February. His Royal Highness Prime Minister Prime Minister Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al-Khalifa had issued an order readjusting the date for lifting the annual moratorium.
Agriculture and Marine Resources, an affiliate of the Ministry of Works, Municipalities Affairs and Urban Planning, announced that the renewal of shrimping licences would start on Thursday (July20) at its premises in Budaiya.
Fishermen whose shrimping licences have expired were urged to contact the maritime licencing office phone number: 17987243 and book renewal appointments.
