The Sharjah Institute for Heritage, SIH, has concluded its training workshop, entitled, "Cultural Heritage in the UAE". The workshop targeted the staff of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Culture, to familiarise them with the UAE's cultural heritage, highlight its elements, and acquaint them with the various methods of preserving it.
Abdulaziz Almusallam, Chairman of SIH, said, "We are keen to be active on both the practical and scientific levels of heritage issues and how to preserve and transmit it to generations.
He added that SIH is a scientific, academic and practical institution concerned with heritage affairs in accordance with the directives and visions of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
Almusallam explained that such courses, lectures and information enrich the cognitive, intellectual and practical aspects that eventually contribute to the creation of innovative mechanisms, tools and means for preserving and transmitting heritage to future generations.
