The Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work organised its first meeting to qualify and train the co-ordinators of government institutions in the emirate of Sharjah, at the Al Qasimia University Hall.
The programme, launched by the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, in collaboration with government institutions, aims to raise the institutional awareness of volunteerism.
With the presence of more than 40 institutions and 80 public co-ordinators, the programme translates the Award’s plan that seeks to increase the knowledge of volunteer work among individuals and institution.
Commenting on the Award’s first meeting, Jassim Hamad al Hammadi, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Award for Voluntary Work, said that the programme underscores the importance of volunteering in the institutional sphere.
