The Ministry of Labor and Social Development has introduced a new App for smart phones for the recruitment of housemaids, Arabic daily Al-Madina reported on Sunday quoting a ministry’s source.
He said the ministry has developed the new App in its electronic Musanid (supporter) program for all iOS or Android smart phones.
“The ministry is determined to use the modern technology to facilitate and expedite recruitment procedures while protecting the data of clients,” he said.
The source said the Musanid App will help reduce paperwork and guarantee transparency in the recruitment of housemaids.
“The new service will help clients follow up on their recruitment applications, enable them to know the licensed recruitment offices and companies and also to be aware of the costs and time of recruitment,” he said.
Owners of a number of recruitment offices welcomed the new service and said it will cut red tape and reduce paperwork by about 40 percent.
“The new App will facilitate the electronic issuance of work visas and will enable offices to provide any additional required document,” said Mohammed Al-Baqami, a recruitment office owner.
Ali Al-Amri, another office owner, said using mobile phones for recruitment is more convenient than using the ministry’s website.
