Prince Mohammed bin Nawaf, Saudi Arabia’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, on Wednesday received Tami Al-Wasmi a Saudi student that covered a distance of 137 km on his wheelchair at his office in the embassy here.During the reception, Prince Mohammed praised Al-Wasmi for his determination and persistence which he demonstrated through his journey despite all odds. Prince Mohammed expressed his happiness at the model Al-Wasmi provides to the world about the young Saudi students and their ability to overcome all challenges. He also stressed that any handicap should not be an obstacle to gain education — the most powerful weapon a person can obtain — and to secure a better future for himself. He added: “Al-Wasmi’s achievement proves that Saudi students have the ability to take responsibility and provide a good image of their country.On his part, Al-Wasmi expressed his pride and appreciation for Prince Mohammed’s reception which exemplifies the ambassador’s keen interest and genuine support in ensuring the growth and development of Saudi students, particularly those with special needs.
