A Saudi border guard was killed when Houthi gunmen opened fire at an advanced border position southern Saudi Arabia on Saturday, the Interior Ministry said in a statement.
Houthi gunmen opened fire from inside the Yemeni territories at the Saudi position causing wounds to Sultan bin Ayed Al Sharari, the Interior ministry's spokesman was quoted as saying by the Saudi Press Agency SPA.
Al Sharari was rushed to hospital but died of his wounds before reaching the medical facility, he added.
