The Ministry of Interior issued a statement on the execution this morning of Karim Ruslan Al-Ruslan - a Syrian national in Jouf region for smuggling drug-pills into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The Ministry said that Al-Ruslan was arrested after smuggling 230,000 drug pills and that he was convicted by the General Court. \"This verdict has been endorsed by Supreme Council of Magistracy and a royal order issued (in this context) to implement the verdict.\" The Ministry of Interior stressed the keenness of the Government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on fighting against drugs in all their forms as these cause serious damages to individuals and the society. The Ministry also warned of imposing heaviest penalties on smugglers as punishments according to Sharia.
