A citizen has been arrested for a string of robberies in South Batinah, according to a statement released by the Royal Oman Police.
The culprit stole goods from a number of commercial stores in the areas of Nakhal and Wadi Maawel.
The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations arrested the citizen after a report was made to the Nakhal ROP from the stores regarding the shops being robbed.
Appropriate legal matters have been carried out and the case has been been sent to Public Prosecution for further investigation.
"The ROP advises shop owners to comply with the necessary safeguard requirements to avoid being robbed," the police stated on their website.
