A state of relative calm prevailed in Al-Tahrir Square with the main stage's radio station playing Quranic verses to mourn the revolution's martyrs and those killed in recent incidents as part of today's planned mass protests held under the theme "Handing power over to the head of the Supreme Constitutional Court". The protests are called for by a number of opposition powers. Until now, a limited number of protesters are present at the square but are expected to increase throughout the day. The square has been closed to traffic and metal barriers were placed on its entrances and exits. Meanwhile, an initiative called "Egypt's female lawyers and women" will organize a march to the High Court of Justice in Downtown Cairo to condemn sexual harassment incidents in Tahrir and nearby protest gatherings. The march, organized on the International Day for Women, will start from Talaat Harb Square under the leadership of female activists.
